An ocean-themed art experience that invites you to pause, ponder on ways of being, and reflect on connections
Bring Nature, Awe, and Perspectives into Workplaces
Challenges in the AI Era
In a world of endless deadlines, social media saturation, and technology explosion, it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture.
Unprecedented levels of burnout, depression, chronic exhaustion, and other health challenges are seen across workplaces and classrooms.
Meanwhile, organisations face increasing pressure to remain productive and innovative, knowing they cannot afford to fall behind in this rapidly evolving AI era.
Alternatives to the Burnout Epidemic
This reality raises some critical questions:
Can ambitious individuals truly thrive in their professions without burnout?
Can workplaces rise beyond sites of productivity, but spaces of curiosity, creativity, and human flourishing?
Can organisations nurture resilience and emotional connection while unlocking the innovation needed?
What if, when we envision future of work, we shift our focus from merely adapting to how AI will transform the workforce to actively redesigning systems and structures that foster continuous learning, collaborative innovation, and genuine joy, wellbeing and fulfilment at work?
Inspiration from Nature
Ocean At Work brings evocative photography from the sea and stories from the depth - both literally and metaphorically. It offers awe, inspiration, and a fresh perspective to educational and work spaces.
Designed as a catalyst for change, the programme serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of connection: with the natural world, with our own mind and body, and with each other.
Anchored in the artist’s unique journey of reinvention - from data and AI leadership to art and conservation - Ocean At Work sparks curiosity about transformation, personal and professional. It invites people to pause, reflect, and discuss the value of different lived experiences and the courage to chart a new course, opening pathways to more diverse, sustainable ways of working and living.
By bringing people together through art, stories, and the restorative energy of water, Ocean At Work creates ripples of change that shift mindsets, deepen introspection, and strengthen our connection to ourselves and the world around us.
“We are not defined by our past, successes or failures. I believe each of us is capable of multiple careers, and that skills accumulated in one world, when driven by curiosity and an experimental mindset, can unlock extraordinary things in another.”
- Bingqian Gao, Artist Entrepreneur, Founder of Ocean At Work
